Crust-less Apple Pie | Vegetable Day
A bit tart, a bit sweet, this dessert is a great way to finish off your BBQ, picnic or any meal.
Makes 2 servings - uses 1 cup of your daily fruit allowance
Ingredients
- 2 Granny Smith apples
- PAM or other zero-calorie cooking spray
- Splenda or other zero-calorie sweetener, to taste
- Apple pie spice, to taste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Slice 2 Granny Smith apples into 1/4" thick slices.
- Spray the bottom of a glass casserole dish with cooking spray.
- Spread the apple slices over the bottom of the dish in a decorative manner.
- Sprinkle them with sweetener, then sprinkle them with apple pie spice.
- Place another layer of apples and repeat the sprinkling.
- Bake in the oven until the apples are tender and start to brown.
- Let it cool a bit before serving.
