Vegetable broth | Vegetable/Fruit Day
The first 8 oz of vegetable broth are "free". After that, 2 oz of broth = 1 oz of veggies.
Ingredients
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 cup of kale or chard, chopped
- 4 stalks of fresh grown celery, chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 tsp. sea salt
- Cayenne pepper, to taste (optional)
- 2 liters of water
Directions
- place ingredients in 2 quarts (about 2 liters) of pure or distilled water
- bring to boil and simmer for 20 minutes
- strain the liquid and discard the veggies
- if you’d like to spice it up a little, throw in some cayenne pepper
