Milk Day Soup | Milk/Yogurt Day
Cold weather, cold season. This tasty soup has all the elements to keep both kinds of cold away. This recipe brought to you by member Acc(u)Yolanda.
Makes 1 serving. Uses 8 oz of daily milk allowance.
Ingredients
- 4 oz milk
- 4 oz yogurt or kefir
- Salt, to taste
- Cayenne pepper, to taste
- Garlic powder, to taste
- Turmeric, to taste
- Smoked paprika, optional
Directions
- To prevent curdling, allow milk/yogurt/kefir to get to room temperature before heating.
- Pour yogurt/kefir into a small saucepan on low to medium heat.
- Stir yogurt/kefir to remove lumps, if any.
- Add milk to saucepan.
- Add spices, to taste.
- Stir often and warm slowly until hot.
- Pour into soup mug or bowl.
- Garnish with smoked paprika, optional.
- Enjoy!
