Joan's Chocolate Espresso Shake | Milk/Yogurt Day
Makes 1 serving - uses 10 oz of your daily milk allowance
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 TBSP unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp instant espresso powder
- you may substitute instant coffee
- 5 oz whole milk
- 5 oz whole milk yogurt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 packets zero-calorie sweetener
- 3 - 4 ice cubes
Directions
- in a small saucepan, bring water to a boil over medium-low heat
- add cocoa and espresso powder
- stir until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth
- remove the pan from heat
- stir in milk
- place yogurt, vanilla and sweetener in blender
- pour chocolate mixture into blender
- add ice cubes
- blend until smooth and frothy
- enjoy!
